Very very slow. Dont waste your money.
Very very slow. Dont waste your money.
Yet still collected the customer cash and stopped the updates everyone paid for that bought this content through unbound. Now they push this buggy, crash-prone excuse for an app...been with davis on unbound ever since.
Doesnt give any information unless you buy it. Not even worth the money.
At first glance it looks like a great app but once you begin using it the frustration sets in. The biggest complaint is it is very very slow. I can type the entire drug name and it will still be blank like the app is frozen. When the name finally appears many times the drug is not listed. You can find drugs faster in the actual book before finding them in this app. I found epocrates and Davis a much better solution.
Did not like this app at all. It is not user friendly at all. You cannot just type in the drug name. You need to know the therapeutic class, etc. Not every one knows the drug class of every drug. There should be a search function by name too. Very disappointed. Especially since it was $26.99.
Dont waste your money. When I purchase an app for 26.99, I expect it to work and not "expire" until I pay for the app again. It tells me to "press here to restore previous purchase" yet does not recognize my credentials. Ridiculous to say the least. Ive now switched to Epocrates which has not disappointed me. It is also free which is the best part!
This app is very helpful and the information is presented well once you find the drug you are looking for. The problem with this app is FINDING THE DRUG. You have to search by pharmaceutic class or by therapeutic class. Not everyone knows the class of the drug and itd be so much easier and save so much time if you could actually search for drug name instead of class.
Why offer a free app if youre going to offer sneaky in-app purchases to even get access to the information?? Stupid. Based on other reviews, I will not be paying for any type of upgrade.
Rate = Negative 5 stars if possible. To type in the name of a drug, and not get anything, and I mean nothing, is a crime. As nurses, new medications come out every day. We need tools that work for fast delivery of the potentially life-saving information involved with direct patient care. I used to carry the physical book with me every day at work. I trusted the publisher to have an application that would at least deliver me the most basic of information. This application is dead. So set the code status to this application as DNR!! DO NOT PURCHASE!!! IT DOESNT WORK AND YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY AS I HAVE.
I am so appreciative to have this app. It constantly updates, I never have to worry about it being out of date. Also it beats carrying around a book (the last one I bought was in 2011 and probably completely out of date by now). It helps with nursing school and when Im on the first. Im glad the creators saw the need to develop this app for HCPs. Also, I havent come across any glitches.
Great app, very detailed and useful. Also the first issue I had with my restoring, was fixed quickly
Apple needs to change these apps to something else. "Free" means you can use it or at least a good part of it, without paying anything. Needing a prescription to a service means the app isnt free, it costs to use the content. If I have to pay to use it then its not free.
Could not get it to show me the medications I was looking for, complete waste of time, dont waste your money on this one
I use this on a regular basis. So much easier to look up a drug than in the book, and the updates make sure Im not looking at ousted info.
I am a seasoned nurse back on the hospital side and there are meds I dont know the generic names. I was excited to see this app AND IT BEING FREE WAS A BONUS! Its not free. Its false advertising
Im a nursing student this is very easy to use. It categorizes the medice which helps when Im making drug cards
Helpful and easy to access as a visiting nurse for patient education / side effects
a few drugs opened but must pay for full version.
Where is the dosage calculator function? Did I get a broken edition? Everything else is great, I want to give 5 stars but have to go to another app for calculations...
I used this app along with the physical book for both pharmacology and now nursing school. Overall the app is great but the ease of "searching" is terrible; 99% of the time when searching brand names of meds I have to look for the med in the book for the generic name and use that for my search on the app in order to bookmark for later use & quicker referencing. Its also frustrating that neither includes some commonly prescribed medications, I understand that no book can cover every-single-med there is, but there are some meds that I have searched for such as lidoderm (lidocaine 5% transdermal patch) that even working as an MA for a family practitioner and internist I saw prescribed enough, in my opinion, to be considered a commonly prescribed medication.
